The pictures are indestinct/blurry.I can't tell if they are old or the new Apollo's.The 8 and 10 may be Timbalitos-they look metal. As you know 24 basses are pretty rare for MIJ and even MIT,as are 18 floor toms.I remember when I lived in Florida (mid 80's) a husband-wife duo(organ/drums)decided to upgrade the look of the drums. The husband bought the wife a GIGANTIC MIT white Octa-Plus style set with 8-18 concert toms and double 24's.Maybe Percussion Plus brand.3/4 of the set was never even touched-she was a "boom-chicka",if you know what I mean......

Well-now on more detailed analysis I see the lugs are teardrops and staggered-so they are oldies. How much?

It's a newer set,not a 60's vintage set...Mikey

I am about to blow you away, Mikey! I am in talks with the owner now, and they are indeed older than we would think. Not 60s, but they are indeed 70s, transition era! He has had them since they were new. The lugs are Pearl "battleship" and the tom mounts are mixed Pearl/Star, as mine should be! Transition era parts!!! Really a cool set! I will post all of the pix for you to look at!

CHECK THESE OUT! i AM SO RIDICULOUSLY EXCITED TO FIND THE FIRST KIT TO ACTUALLY BE POSTED HERE THAT SHOWS THE TRANSITIONAL PERIOD OF THE ST. LOUIS MUSIC SUPPLY CONTRACT FROM STAR TO PEARL. THESE DRUMS USE BOTH TYPES OF HARDWARE, PEARL AND STAR, NO DOUBT ABOUT IT, THIS IS A RARE KIT INDEED. THESE ARE THE SAME DESIGN, LUGS AND SNARE AS MY SAME ERA ASTRO ORANGE GLITTER. I THOUGHT MINE ARE IN GOOD CONDITION, THESE APPEAR TO BE IMMACULATE.

I will send the pix when I get back home. I don't know where they were made. I was around 12 year old when I got them. So I probably get them around 1975 maybe. There were new when I got the. I am the only owner and have taken very good care of them. The main places they were player was at home or at church. They very seldom were used on a trip. Thanks for your contact.
