From an Oz Newspaper 1950'S.... after finishing his show.

"Aw, It was nothing, If you think that was good, wait till Krupa comes. He's forgotten more about drumming than I'll ever know."

Buddy Rich

(He was touring OZ around a month or two ahead of Krupa)

Dave Grohl:

I love being a drummer. Everyone thinks you’re dumb. What they don’t realise is that if it weren’t for you, their band would suck.

Playing fast around the drums is one thing. But to play music, to play with people for others to listen to, that's something else. That's a whole other world. - Tony Williams

From Richie

"Bonham had technique but he couldn't swing a ****in' sack of ****." -Ginger Baker

LMAO!

For my money, Thornbeck's 8 year-old has all the pro's comments beat by a country mile:

"Now I can play unspeakable beats!"

That's the motivation, the soul and the spirit of drumming right there. From an 8 year old! Unspeakable beats, love it. I hope that one day that young man will be able to play any beat that pops into his head. I hope he learns how to fly.

John

Too many great drums to list here!

Jason Bonham:

"I don’t think I’ve ever met a drummer who didn’t tell me that my dad was an influence. He’s a tough act to follow. But to give me the opportunity to play drums and make music, what a path he led for me. I’ll take it."
