Hello, this is my first time posting. I ran across this site researching RadioKing information trying to date a snare drum which was passed down to me by my Grandfather some years ago. I have a RadioKing which according to what I've seen and read here dates from between mid 1928 to 1941. All these years and I never knew what I had. The Chicago cloud badge, three point strainer, brackets, hoops, tone arm and all other hardware agree with what I've discovered here. Restoration is pretty much complete, it was in great shape, but I need to replace one of the brackets which is missing. Is there a difference in the snare and butt side brackets? Where can I find vintage Slingerland parts? Local music stores haven't been much help (East Tennessee doesn't seem to be a hotbed for vintage drum parts) and the Slingerland site wasn't of much use either. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

The butt side will have a bracket (bar with screws) to hold the snare strings.
There are 4 screw (earlier), six screw (most commont) and two screw versions ('70s).
They appear on ebay from time to time.
Send an email to vadrums who posts here; he often has many parts for sale.

Thanks Rich. I have the butt end bracket. The hardware on this snare matches the one you have pictured from 1930, the Abalone pearl. Hopefully I'll be able to find what I need to finish it now. Thanks again.
