From ChristianB

Would anybody know wich Modell this set ist?The year it was build, and some facts that you maybe know:-)?

I suppose this Tromsa is from 70's - 80's.

Maybe collegue Calfskin will tell us more precisely.

Cheers,

George.

The lugs on those drums say 1969/70, you can see that in their catalogue:

http://home.arcor.de/pfaue/tromsa/katalog/kat69/kat69.htm

You should check the inside of the shells for any stamps or marks (the Sonor at least should have one). I recently got a FT exactly like this one, a 1976 with the exact same wrap on it. I'm not an expert, but I believe that German drums of that time were 6-ply beechwood with no re-rings - correct me if I'm wrong.

HY Alex

i think you are right! It looks like the Modell M3 in this catalog - 10" mounted Tom, 20" Bassdrum , 14"" Snare!

:-)

The inside off the Tromsa shells say only the Name "Eltner M." written with the hand, wich was probably the drumbuilder or qualityinspector, IMO, there is no stamp or something else to see! They are beechwood shells!

The Sonor FT is like you say 6ply beechwood no rerings:-) i would date it to 76!
