I've got a Rogers Powertone Snare Drum that I purchased some time ago. I'm in the process of determining whether I'm going to keep this one or offer it for sale. However, I'm hoping to obtain some definitive answers to a couple of questions I've got concerning the drum.
Sooooooooooooo, here goes:
1. When I purchased the drum it didn't have the Rogers label on the interior of the shell. Can someone tell me, after reviewing the pics that I've posted, the approximate year this one might have been manufactured?
2. I recently removed the head that was mounted on the drum when I purchased it and noticed that there is a single hole drilled in the shell above the strainer as well as one above the snare butt (please see the last two pics). The holes are located on the extreme upper portion of the shell. Is there some reason for these? They can't be seen with the head mounted on the shell. Were these "factory-drilled" or perhaps added afterwards?
As usual, thanks in advance for your time and your help!
