Help with identifying Premier drums

Loading...

Need some help here. Found this kit in a closet at one of our church buildings. The 1st tom is a concert tom, the second tom and floor tom have lugs but no hoops and the kick is missing the front hoop. Need some help with identifying what type of kit and it's production year(s). Thanks everyone!

First "Projector" series from early 1980s - see catalog half way down this page http://www.drumarchive.com/Premier/

These started life as "Beverley" drums actually made by Premier see the story here: http://www.vintagedrumguide.com/beverley_history.html

Here are pictures of two sets I have owned - still use the red ones which were "red badge" model made for Boosey&Hawkes who then owned the Beverley brand and these were marked in the US as "Premier 8000". Really good shells which to my mind sound better without the Premier die-cast hoops
