Help with ID?

Hi everyone,

Do you think you could ID these drums for me?

They are the only example (ONLY) of vintage drums that have appeared for sale in my area. The lugs look like '50's or '60's Slingerland but that's all I'm daring to say!

Thanks

It would be very hard to find a matching floor tom, if you want one. Otherwise like Granto said, there not worth much over here. The fact that they are MIJ drums would not bother me. I have a few MIJ kits and like them very much. If the price is right, I would buy them just because of the WMP wrap, I love that stuff. They look like there in pretty good condition from the pics anyway.

Nice looking drums and if they stay cheap a nice deal. Older MIJ drums are nice and I hope to snag a kit someday. The WMP wrap looks nice and you can look for a matching FT down the road or good shell for a rewrap. Last year I asked here about some lugs I thought were Slingerlands. They turned out to be MIJ SL copys. Looks like the same as on those drums. Good luck I like them!!

Thank you all so much for your replies! I think I will bid on these drums until they get too high. I have a '50's or '60's Slingerland floor tom in WMP (my first vintage purchase) which would match this perfectly, so that's a plus :)

I just got really excited because these are the first drums I've seen that don't have a $200 shipping tag on them.

Thanks again

Seb

Appear to be 'Star' drums judging from hardware, (especially t-rods on kick). Yeah, shipping can definitely be a deal breaker when trying to find an affordable kit. You have a matching floor tom already? Bonus. Good luck with bidding - hope it stays affordable for you.
