Help to identify very old Ludwig marching drum Last viewed: 1 hour ago

Loading...

Hello. I am new so please forgive my inexperience.

I have an old Ludwig marching snare drum and would like to something about it.

This old LUDWIG drum (14" across x 12" deep) is solid but has 2 broken skins. There is no reason it could not be used with replaced new skins.

My goodness the stories it might tell. Very old. There is a note on the top written in pencil by an 11 year old boy in Aug 1937.

I hope the pictures will answer your questions.

I don't see any pictures, or I might be able to help you. I have a few old L&L marching snares.

It looks similar to this vintage. [ame]http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Ludwig-Snare-Drum-Street-Parade-1910-1920-Original-Excellent-12-x-5-/331233647100?pt=Vintgae_Drums_Percussion&hash=item4d1f1059fc[/ame]

Hope that helps. Good luck!
