help to id this cymbal

What model Sabian is this? It has the standard sabian ink stamp on the BOTTOM but is quit faded. It has a sabian stamp on top, which is not very deep.Its an 18" and is more bronze color than brass yellow. Id like to find a matching 20 inch crash. Also the lathing is wide on the bottom side. Many thanks

To my, eyes, and they ain't the best, looks like maybe a B8, color-wise. Does it sound like a B8?

o.k Thanks. it sound more like a paiste 16" 2002 but I like it. Thought I could find a 20" that would sound like an 18" The Band

to the best of my knowleg it's a very early sabian b8-1984 (around) the give away is some of the discolorations. the higher up model would have been aa model and aa"s dont discolor like that. and sabian did not have a million different lines like they do today. and i think the earl b8's sound better than the one of today

Well its a great cymbal that cost me 30 usd when I picked it up about a year ago. I thought it looked like a lower end Sabian, but when I played it I thought it was great. If anyone knows where I can find a 16 or 20 let me know. Ive played the newer b8 verion and its not close at all. Many thanks

[COLOR="DarkRed"]Just look around for better contemporary B8 alloy models, or older B8's.

I find the discontinued Paiste 802's to be pretty good sounding B8's...also older Zildjian Amirs (NOT Amir II's), Paiste 2002's, some Paiste 404's, & Meinl Amuns are some other good B8 lines.....have also found many Zildjian ZHT's to be pretty decent for the money, but they are B12, I believe.[/COLOR]
