Thanks guys. Did a bit of research, and they appear to be Super Olympics, from 76/77 from what I can surmise. Wouldn't normally hesitate, it's only that I'm currently in liquidation mode, (as far as drums) as the wife is getting a little overwhelmed. Should be picking them up Saturday.

I don't know if the later Olympics used the same shells as the regular Premier line but they did in the earlier 70's. If so, those are really great shells. It was a little like the Ludwig Club Date series in that respect.

Love it! Get it asap. Hot red, yowsa! I like your comment above, like "I'm getting rid of my drums, wife is ****ed, but, uh yeah, I'll be picking them up saturday..." For $150 how can she refuse? She probably spends that on stuff way more frivolous than nice kit like that.

She knows who's the boss... If I have no drums, what am I gonna beat on? Seriously though, she is very patient and understanding, (thank God.).

SCORE! Nice kit, excellent condition, and complete with original hardware. If there weren't t-shirts stuffed into each drum, I'd guess that the original, Everplay heads had never been off these drums, as the interiors, (at least the tom so far) are pristine. Haven't established shell wood composition - any help here would be much appreciated.

For the cymbal guys; they are not Zildjian, (one can only be so lucky) but in fact a 16" UFIP, medium, (crash I expect - haven't had opportunity to really strike it) and an 18", 'Omar' thin crash... anyone? Hi-hats are a fine example of early, (first generation?) Taiwanese pie plate fare, replete with a full compliment of dents warps and stick marks under the patina, and believe me, they sound even better...

Have too much on my plate right now to get too engrossed in this kit, but I figure I'll squeeze it in where I can - thought I'd start with the snare; get it polished up and tuned. Will try to post progress - won't even have to do up a front logo decal, as even the original, logo'd, Everplay bass reso appears to be in excellent shape, will be sure to scan, for future template.

This kit really just needs a thorough polishing - from pics, I'd figured that the hoops must be metal, but are in fact black painted wood hoops with nary a scuff. Aside from a couple of felts, and one or two wing bolts on hardware, upon initial inspection, and to the best of my knowledge, this kit appears to be original and complete. Any help from Olympic/Premier dudes out there, with any info, or possibly a value estimate would be appreciated. I'm confident that these babies are going to look and sound killer when I'm done - just hope I don't fall in love with them...

That IS a Major score! I already sense that you are looking to flip and it is a GREAT flipper candidate. For 150! All that matching hardware! Not sure what wood type - but those appear to be, oh,I don't know, birch? I know Olympic were the lower end version of Premiers.....but what is so exciting is that it all appears to be original and complete.

Some guys (Premier fans) on here are going to wonder why you would want to sell. I complete agree, that I would sell to. The color is nothing special and I am not a big Olympic or Premier fan (though I have had some modern Premiers that were good). These your reasons as well?

Fact is, to a Premier guy, this would be killer to have....and you will probably get some good coin for it. I would keep or sell the cymbals separate.

Ya gotta love the look of all that flat-based vintage HW!
