Can someone please tell me how to tune/get the best bass drum sound from the strange

Ludwig Epic Modular Kit...with the two tiny bass drums linked together.

Check out the Evans website (or, youtube) for short vids on head-tuning. It should get you in the ballpark.

This kit has intrigued me.....it's based on the idea of a "woofer" placed in front of the regular bass drum, much like DW's idea.....to be honest, I'm not sure how one would tune the two drums.....I would think that you'd want the front one to accentuate the low frequencies, so maybe tune it a bit lower than the back one?

Anyone who uses the DW "woofer" setup may be better able to answer this one for you...
