HELLO EVERYONE.HAVE A QUESTION ON CLEANING THIS GRETSCH C.O.B. SHELL..I HAVE TRYED EVERY THING I CAN THINK OF,TO SHINE THE SHELL UP,AND IT STILL LOOKS THE SAME,[LIKE A YELLOW FILM OR?? OVER THE CHROME THAT WILL NOT COME OFF..CHROME UNDER LUGS AND WERE THE RIMS AND HEADS ARE IS GREAT,BUT THE REST OF SHELL STILL LOOKS LIKE IT HAS A FILM?? SMOKE OR ?? COLOR IS LIKE A YELLOW STAIN,THAT WILL NOT COME OFF THE SHELL.. WITH THE THINGS I HAVE TRYED.I WILL TRY TO UPLOAD A PHOTO TO SHOW WHAT THE SHELL LOOKS LIKE... ANY HELP ON REMOVING THIS FILM,, SMOKE ON THE CHROME...THANKS MIKESoap Box :confused:

Go to the drug store and buy a bottle of isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) and then dab some of it on a rag and scrub the shell with it. It should get rid of the smoke "tar" stains...IF , in fact, that's what's causing the discoloration.
