Greetings fellow vintage-heads :)

I have this beautiful Ajax snare for sale, so I would like to know exactly when it is from. If anyone can help me with this, I will be pretty happy :)

Go to http://ukdrums.weebly.com

Your badge could be placed anywhere from 1957 to 1967.

It looks like a Piper. If you go to B&H link on this page you will see it.

Exact date is hard to tell not seeing all the trim up close. There is little to compare it to.

I would say it`s a Piper from late fifties to early sixties.

Thanks, but no new info though - I know the page ;)

It's a pipper yup, but it would be fun to have the exact year :P

Well Premier bought the whole lot of British drum companies. What they did with the records is unknown. You are gonna have to find someone with purchase paperwork that has a kit with it or see if you can get Premier to help you. The throw handle changed and the hoops. But when ? What Premier did with inventory and records may not be available.

You`re selling it. If you want that accurate info. you got a long road ahead. There are people here with Pipers and hopefully one can help out more precisely.

That`s a lot of hoping and searching for a drum you want to sell. You`ll get what someone is willing to pay for it with or without accurate data on it.

It sounds fantastic, but it 's meant for jazz, not rock/blues. But yeah I'm just interested in the details .. I play premier and Hama EMI drums :)

I'm only selling if I can get a good price on it :) - otherwise it'll continue to be my fx snare

Definitely not deep enough for Rock.

I noticed you don`t have wires on it. Do you have the anchors for attaching the wires inside the block ?

Andy420!

We really PREFER that you upload pics as an ATTACHMENT rather than a LINK to an off site pic storage system, as that way, we have the pics ARCHIVED for future viewing/use. Links all eventually go... DEAD. I'll let the link remain for a bit as a LINK, but... see if you can get it on the site as an attachment. THANKS!!
