Here's what I know, which is not certain.

-90ish years old

-Made in Boston

I wish I could get more information, but these belong to an internet friend and he's not too willing to investigate further. I'd like to make an offer of some kind, if they're worth shipping across the country, but have no idea of value at all.

Suffice it to say, I don't believe there's an obvious badge or writing or I would have been told. However, he didn't quite know the names of the drums (snare.. tom... bass, etc), so they could actally be badged and he just didn't know or bother to look.

If I had to randomly guess, I'd say the manufacturer is Stone & Son, but I have very little experience to make that claim and it's just me guessing based on them being made in Boston that long ago.

Thank you very much!

The single tension off brand bass and snare don't have much resale value in the vintage community...the bass drums are a dime a dozen, and the single tension snares don't command that much either. If you're getting them for yourself, offer whatever they're worth to you...on the market I doubt they're get more than $200 for the pair.

The rope tension drum is a different market entirely, that I don't know much about.

Slightly incorrect....

Sometimes a complete set of drums like that will command a very high price if they are in great original condition. Yours seem pretty nice....albeit well-played. However, I will agree they are not in the kind of shape to really get a lot of attention from collectors. The rope tensioned drum? I need more detailed pictures. Some of them are into the stratosphere if they are civil war drums.

Thanks guys. I don't think they're civil war era. He's finally going to more thoroughly check for badges, though.
