Help in identifying vintage Ludwig snare

Loading...

Hi all. First time poster. Recently was fortunate enough to acquire a 50/60's Gretsch drum kit with a Ludwig snare. Was able to identify each Gretsch piece, having trouble i.d'ing the Ludwig snare. May be from the 30's, perhaps not. I just don't know. 8 lugs. Approx 6 x 14. I am enclosing a bunch of pics in the hope someone can help. And yes, I have no taken the time to clean it up as of yet. Thanks in advance for any and all help.

Question - Were those Imperial lugs tapped straight into the metal, or did they have inserts like the ones today?

Thanks again for the responses. I want to contact my insurance company to add the Gretsch kit and this Ludwig snare to my home insurance rider. I was able to approx the value of the Gretsch equipment, but unable to for the Ludwig snare. Can anyone help with fair market or insurance replacement value? Many thanks in advance.
