Premier use the most common thread size on the tom, snare and bassdrum lugs.

An APK kit is not what I would call a "Classic" Premier kit - but some years of APK production are quite good middle class kits with good fittings.

The reason are the shells - the best years of APK are relatively thick shells in eucalyptus and birch, whereas a "classic" Premier are thin birch or (and some like them better) african mahogany. NOT lauan or philippine mahogany, but real dark mahogany.

And with reinforcement rings in beech, or, on the very last models, birch veneer.
