I want to define what snare drum I have. It is a Ludwig 5"x14" snare in white marine pearl. I believe it is a Jazz fest, but how can I know for sure? Is it the size, or the shell construction that determines the Jazz Fest?

that drum with the 8 lugs and the 5- 5.5" inch depth with the p83 or p85 strainer makes it a jazz festival. a 6 lug would be a pioneer. and a 6,5 depth would be an auditorium. like mark said, jazz festival it is.
