I think this kit is from the 70's but I'm not sure. I've attached a couple of photos, the kit is in fantastic shape, I'm just curious about it's age and wood type. Sizes are 24" 13" 14" 18". Thanks.
Help identifying an older Pearl kit.
Could be a wood-fiberglass kit from the mid-late 1970s? Hard to tell without photos of the interior. Those kits had hexagonal tom arms -- looks like yours may have pipe arms? Pearl changed badges to black/silver in the early 1980s, so your kit is sometime in the late 1970s. (I had a wood-fiberglass kit I bought new in 1976 -- great sound!)
Here is a photo of the interior shell, it seems to be wood, but painted a grey color. Thanks.
Thanks, I just did actually.
So it`s likely to be closer to a 1980- I think 78 or 79 based on how it`s gone to those tube arms- that`s a big period indicator. From the interior shot you gave it`s definitely a wood ply shell. I have not seen a white painted interior on similar models- could be a well done modification? This is what they usually look like- this one is a 76

The white paint on the interior probablly helps the sound alot- more reflective. I bought a Pearl Masters snare that someone had expertly painted interior silver- your's could be a similar job?
Here is a 1980 catalog page but I still don`t see white painted interiors as a factory option that I know about.

Here`s a 1975 catalog page shot - you can see your kit has moved forward a few steps- different hardware, mounts

Thanks for all of the information. That really helps a lot.
Looks like painted Luan shells to me based on the interior pic looking at the drill-hole area. Could be 70's or early 80's, IMHO I'd say 70's...
Also kinda looks like a rewrap, maybe ?
Although they did offer a white pearl wrap all through the 1970s as a factory option- looking closer now I agree with the others that this could likely also have been rewrapped. Interior painting, re-wrap- it`s all good but makes specific ID difficult.

Thanks everyone, I think I've found it. I believe it's the kit on the top of this page found in a 1979 pearl catalog. Could what I think is paint actually be a layer of Fiberglass? It definitely has 9 layers of wood like is mentioned in the description. Anyway, thanks again.
