Help identifying a snare drum please? Last viewed: 13 hours ago

Hi,

I've recently aquired some equipment and am curious to find out what snare drum I have as it is unbadged.

It's chrome with a wood/ply lining I think, 14x6, 8 lugs, and has had a hard life. Has Premier on the skin but don't know if that is original and is on a new era stand but again who knows if they belong together! Probably better with pictures:

Looks more Beverly to me than Premier. Premier usually has a shoulder on the lug base. I`ve seen Beverly with those type of lugs. Premier eventually purchased Beverly.

I think this is a Shaftesbury probably made by Premier for Rose Morris in London. Rose Morris has a long history of instrument making under many brand names and still has a retail outlet in London.

I was thinking Beverly because of this throw and a similar lug over a crimp. This snare don`t have the crimp and I think the earlier was without the bead shoulder. The shoulder helps from rocking side to side.

Just putting it out there. Dallas supplied all these British drums for a while so similar or exact will be mixed in here and there.

It's definately from the Rose-Morris stable, could have been badged as RM, Rose-Morris or Shaftsbury.

There's no badges that I can find or any date stamps unfortunately. How much would it cost to get something like this rechromed and a new bottom head?
