Help identifying a K Zildjian

Loading...

I'd like some help identifying a K Zildjian cymbal. I've had the cymbal for over 30 years (it came with the first drumkit I bought in 1978 - a used Maxwin) but have only just recently discovered it was by Zildjian after finding the logo stamp when cleaning it up.

It's 16" diameter and weighs 1609g. In fact it's so heavy that I used it as a small ride for many years. I've attached a photo of the stamp and what appears to be a signature on the underside of the bell.

I've tried searching this and other forums but can't seem to find a stamp quite the same. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Intermediate stamp!

Right. That would make it about 59 to 63 vintage.

Wow, thanks guys. Makes it same vintage as me! What's the story behind the signature on the underside bell? Is that the actual cymbal maker?

No, that just says K. Zildjian and sons, in Latin script.
