Help identify vintage drum without badges

Loading...

Hello,

Can someone help identify (brand, model, year) the drum I have?

I'll add pictures of the drum, including close-up of the lugs.

The drums have no badges, but it looks like a Pearl from 1980.

Foot pedal is Tama HP200 but is probably newer (2001+).

Snare drum and cymbals are new.

Thanks, Koen.

Those could be any of a dozen Chinese import brand names. Six-lug floor tom and bass drum with deep mounted toms and generic "pearl-style"lugs. Nice snare...The set is probably 90's since it has T-rods on the bass drum.

Sold in the UK as Maxwin. Pearl’s budget line like Olympic was to Premier. They sold as individual drums for not much money and a pair of stand mounted single head toms, 10” and 12” were a popular addition to a kit My any other manufacturer.

I would think they were mid 70s early 80s vintage

No, Sir - sorry to contradict. These drums were never made in the 70s/ 80s. As member teverson-sr said: maybe 90s, but not earlier.

If you study catalogues of any supplier in the 70s or early 80s, the standard configuration was 12"/13"/16". (But, please, the thread starter may NOT think now, that then it is a 'special vintage' configuration of that era!)

It's really just a common, cheap and quite modern set like any other.

Nothing 'vintage'.
