Help Identify this snare, please...

It's an early 50's badged 13" Slingerland snare. Seems to be single ply with a mahogany wrap. (very thin and light) flangeless rims and a primative snare ( no bail/lever). I see no serial number but the snare adjustment says Slingerland, chicago, , USA both inside the shell and outside on the hardware.

What is this goofy thing? I haven't seen another anywhere. It looks like a really cheap toy drum or something. It actually sounds pretty cool though.

Ah-Ha, I found it. Thank you. It's the 1955 "Junior Snare" Canme in mahogamy or steel. Now to figure out what to do with it. I guess I'll see what ebayers think of it.
