Can you tell me what year this kind of snare was made and maybe the model name? thanks
help identify this premier snare
I'd say it's a 1026 steel shelled drum (if it's 6.5 deep and 8 lugs). Probably 80s or 90s. They are not a high end snare but I understand they sound very good. They usually have a different strainer but I've seen them with this one, too.
I have a Premier 35 which looks similar but is 5" deep, 10 lugs and Aluminium. Basically the same as a Supra.
looking again, that badge maybe earlier. Check with a magnet to see if it sticks to the shell. If not it's an aluminium shell.
It is a Premier PD6021 from @1974-75, as seen here:

An american model. As Fayray writes, try with a magnet between two lugs - if it doesn´t stick, it is aluminium.

Jon
thanks for the replies. It is 8 lug and a magnet does not stick to the shell, and it is very light in weight so it must be aluminum. I looks like the one in the brochure, but I can't see that strainer very well in the brochure. But the badge looks like it. thanks again.
I am thinking of selling this drum, if anyone is interested.
