I have a drum kit that was just brought out of storage. It was put away in 1973, but was purchased in the 60s. Some of the hardware us marked Ludwig, but none of the pieces have badges. It appears to be gold pearl, or white pearl that has changed, beautiful finish. The chrome is not pitted. There are two toms, a floor tom, bass drum and snare. Would really appreciate some guidance so as to know what to do with this set.
Help identify and value please.
You"ll need to post some pictures for us to help, thanks.
Welcome no badges don’t sound good look closer lol

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
Pull a head off and see if the wrap under the drum head edge matches the rest of the shell. That will help with a true color of the wrap.
Check with the Vintage Identification tab at the top of the first page and see if you can identify any of the hardware or lugs from pictures there.
No badges outside - and none inside speak to it being a Made In Japan copy. Hard to tell much more without more info and some pictures.
Kind of like you are asking for a Car Model from it having 4 wheels and paint color without even know the maker of the car itself.
amosguy! Your last sentence... "Kind of like you are asking for a Car Model from it having 4 wheels and paint color without even know the maker of the car itself." is pretty much what I was going to say! No offense to our new member, but we certainly are getting many new members asking almost the same thing.

This reminds me of how music store workers know when school is out for the Summer. Phone rings: "Hello.......How much is one drum stick"?
I don't know what you guys are talking about, it sounds like a gold mine to me!

Okay now that all the jokes are over......I tried to post pictures and got a message that I needed a security key to do so and to contact the administrator regarding this, which I did, with no answer. Perhaps this is why you have so many new members asking questions without pictures????
Try again following these instructions:
INSTRUCTIONS FOR ATTACHING PHOTOS:
Firstly when you are creating the post and you are in advanced mode, you will see a row of buttons at the top of the post window. Next to the smiley face you will see a little paper clip.
Click that and a box will pop up with all of your options. It is titled "Manage Attachments".
You will see the browse button that lets you search your hard drive. Once you click that button find the file and then click the upload button next to it.
The file must fall into the criteria listed below based on the image type. Let's look at the most popular.
Type ------Size --------Max Width
jpg -----97.7 KB ------1000
gif ------48.8 KB -------800
bmp ----48.8 KB -------800
To insert your pictures into your post, go back to the post you are creating and click the dropdown button next to the paper clip. Your attached picture files should now be there and available for insertion. Just double click them and they will attach into your post.
I was unable to post pictures earlier today. It's a problem with the website and not a user error.
Also, new members always fail to post pictures but it's no big deal.
