I bought a silver sparkle set in 1969 when I was 16. I always thought they were Hollywoods- 22" bass, 12" and 13" mounts, 16"floor and a supraphonic snare. In ebay listings for Hollywoods, they all seem to be painted inside. Mine are not. Do I have Hollywoods? Are they maple or birch? All badges date them late 68 or early 69 and bass stamp is Feb. '69. Thanks for your help.

Mike, you are correct in thinking your drums are a Hollywood outfit. Ludwig stopped painting shell interiors during 1968, leaving them either natural or lacquered maple. Your drums are most likely 3 ply with maple for the interior, poplar for the middle, and either maple or mahogany for the exterior ply.
Let's see some pics!
