I bought this drum at an estate sale for $200. They were using it as a coffee table and told me it was a marching drum. I don't know anything about drums, but I learned from this website that the brass badge means it is a Ludwig Bass Drum possibly from the early 1920's. After pouring over the old catalogs all I can guess is it is a 28" Aero Kraft Bass Drum? It has a faded "Spanish Dancers" scene painted on it (which was turned inside when I bought it so I didn't even know it was there until I took it apart!) It has 12 brass tension rods, an extra hole for the light kit, and measures 16"x28". I need help identifying it and how to care for it. Did I get ripped off?
