Help for identifying Rogers Snare Drum

Loading...

Good Morning,

let me introduce myself: I'm Andrea, I'm writing from Italy.

I'm helping my girlfriend who has recently inherited a Drums Centrer Shop from her father.

We are trying to identify some vintage snare drums.

The first I'd like to show you is this beautiful Rogers.

Could anyone help me in identifying it, please?

Thank you very much to everyone !

Hello Andrea... and Welcome to the forum! Lot's of great members here with a vast knowledge of

vintage drums!

Your Rogers snare drum is just what the badge says... the famous, or infamous, Dynasonic snare drum! The serial number and lack of BigR badge should date your drum to about 1974-75. The shell was always COB, or Chrome Over Brass. An excellent snare drum! I've no doubt others will chime in and offer up lots more information. You only need to do a quick internet search of "Dynasonic" to get loads of information.

Best of luck to your friend with the acquisition of her father's drum shop! Again, welcome to our little bit of vintage drum heaven here on the web!

Thank you very much for your help !

It's always a pleasure to receive such a quick and accurate support !

I'm glad I'm entering this world of vintage drums !

My girlfriend's father was an expert drummer and had been running the best local drums shop for more than 30 years.

Now we have (me and my GF) a lot of vintage drums we're trying to identify !

I think that the best part of them were not for sale... they were part of some kind of a "private collection" , put togheter during years of shop work...

Thank you again !

If possible, please post some photos of the drums. I think everyone here would love to see them. Any Meazzi drums in the collection?
