Help?! Cant find drum anywhere

Loading...

I have a single drum with the inscription Riviere & Hawkes Makers 25 L. Ficester SQ London. I cannot find it anywhere online or in other forums, and I have tried to research it thoroughly. . It looks like a marching drum from the hardware attached to it. The drum is made from wood, brass, and rawhide. It is red and black striped. Any ideas or thoughts would be great. I would just like to know the era, where actually from, and the value and a way to replace the rawhide to restore it. Thanks so much!

It`s French. I replied to the other thread in general drum questions. I tried to link that.

It`s gonna be one of those things where you know, it`s Hawke&Sons, Imported shell from France foundry, Made for the Royal Navy Cadets, Many were made,.... So, the best you can do is research Royal Navy bands from the early 1900`s til you find pics of them with that drum or similar one`s. There wont be a lot to view from that era.

I think that`s the best way to collect the year or particular band data.

Today, the Royal Navy, (first pic) still has that hoop paint job, The Royal Air Force (RAF) (second pic) has a totally different hoop painted.
