Cool, I will try some double sided, I'm trying not to remove the grommet because I don't have any silver ones here to replace with, I only have the brass ones.

Ain't it fine n dandy when those finds come along! I'm just about done with the '66 Ludwig Classic kit. Found it at a yard sale. I'll tell the whole tale when I post the pix.
Good on ya Gone!
I was soooooooo hoping that it was going to be a keystone kit...but stamped 1970 was close enough for $200 and a 20, 12, 14 was such a nice score too because it will travel well.

Ok .....
Quick tip for my friends following this post...there has been discussion on previous posts about removing never dull oil and other residue left by products after polishing....Use clear ammonia and rinse with water. I use a sponge on large parts and an electric tooth brush for small parts and tension rod threads. I would NOT use this on old nickle parts where the nickle has worn. Good nickle, no prob. I've been doing this for a while and thought I would toss out the tip..
Cya,
Mike
PS: Bass drum is going back together.

Here are the after pics....24 hours later after getting started...I really messed up by not getting before shots. I need to get another set of T's and claws, the res side is slingy and something..
PS: Already had the snare.

Very nice score. I love the look. Are those the old floor tom leg mounts? They look like the first run. They are smooth and rounded. Do they have the script Ludwig on the top? Sweet looking.
Great score GoneDrumming!!
And thanks for the ammonia tip too.....
Couldn't have gone wrong for $200.
