It should be 5.5" deep. The strainer and butt are not original. Check for extra holes, of course. Those mods will bring the price down. It's probably a good player, though. These drums were intentionally built with little or no snare bed, but sound good once you get over that detail.
In 2008, these snares hit the $350.00 to $550.00 retail range in very good/ excellent original condition and depending upon which finish. Since Hayman is not very well known, although fairly rare, collectors are smaller in number than those that collect US and better known European brands. Since the crash, those I've seen priced in that range are still sitting unsold. In my estimate this drum is worth way less.

Snare and butt side are changed,replaced with Ludwig snare strainer,according to owner,and he is asking $500.Can't afford it

The seller must like that snare a lot! I'm particularly fond of Hayman, but would never pay that price for a Hayman VS snare----at least not this early in this century.
