Hayman Drum kit

Loading...

I have recently aquired a Hayman drum kit courtesy of a garage clear out of a friend. I researched a little to see what it was all about and apparently they are rare, so I thought I would come here, it's a 20" bass drum 13" tom and 16" floor tom, with bits of hardware and the tom arms. I'll attatch some photo's so you can take a look and I'd like oppinion's etc... on it. I will be selling it on so a collector can take proper care of it and it can be given a new lease of life.

It is in fair condition, a little rough around the edges but its not exactly new is it!? Anyway any collector's feel free to make an offer for it other than that advice and information would be good!

Cheers,

Pembo

I have been listening to Free-Live the last few days on a CD I just got,and I think Simon Kirke was playing a Hayman kit during this time.

They sound great!

Dismantle the entire kit,and go to town cleaning/polishing them...........

I'm no good with that sort of thing, they would be better appreciated by someone with a lot of time/an interest and knowledge of Hayman drums, all of which i dont have! I do love the finish of the kit though.

They were made in England between 69 - 75/76. The badge on yours dates it to the early 70s.

They are cool drums but often the wrap doesn't age well and many have been re-wrapped. The snare drums are sought after and obviously yours got separated at some point which is a shame.

Your kit in England would fetch around $US400-500 I reckon. Probably the same in America?

So is that £400-500 pounds O.o... or that's dollars and i need to convert to GBP?

Thanks for the info,

Pembo - He was talking 4 to 5 hundred US dollars and, whatever the pounds sterling equivalent would be. (about £200-300 pounds) Sounds about right to me too.

I only wish the kit was in the US, I'd buy it from you in a heartbeat. Hayman was England's answer to Camco. On either side of the pond, both companies products represent quality musical instruments. I wish you the very best of luck with them.

Pembo - let me look into shipping costs... we might have a deal here if the rates prove not to be terribly prohibitive.

I'll pm you...
