Have You Tried A Restoration Technique That DOESN’T WORK?

Loading...

I know your not being ugly John. Like i have said before, I admire you and your work. It is fun to make a POS into a work of art huh? I've been cleaning out the garage all day today. Got room for my drum restoration shelves and I already had slevves lining one wall that were full of stuff that I hardly use. I moved everything on them shelves to my barn and my storage shed, and gave a car load to my son and car load to my brother, and a friend is on her way over to get another load im giving away.

I know...I feel the same way. I see a drum that has it's tongue draggin' and it's limping toward the firepalce, begging to be put out of it's misery, and I pick it up and breath life back into it. I was only pokin' fun, not being a jerk-off sbout the shop. I had a good business going in Arizona several years ago. I let it run itself, and managed to get the attention of a national studio, they bought out my contracts, and soon I began having health issues that lead to open heart surgery many years later. Wish I had kept the studio services company, at least today we would have a nice income, rather than what I'm doing today, working for Corporate America, the evil ones. I guess I am just not cut from the cloth that allows me to be a corporate drone. I cannot stand it, and will be unemployed by the end of March. At least they don't normally try to avoid unemployment benefits. The place I work is a meat grinder, running a bout 10-12% turnover every month. The way it is designed is for 95% failure by year 2.

Forgot to mention, My kids are all grown and gone and sucessful,

and, I'm not married. I have a fabulous G/F. I had these 2 vintage kits in my closets I aquired by fate. She suggested I display one in the livin room. I started a search for vintage sonor teardrop and ended up here. My brother gave to me. I also have a 68 sky blue pearl that belonged to Cliff, he claimed they were actually ringo starrs actual drums. I play em many a time in his liivin room. He died and I bought em from his son for $600. I will be restoring them someday when tears stop flowing everytime i think about restoring them.
