Has anyone ever seen this kit, either pics or in the flesh?

Has anyone ever seen anything about the 'Seabro Gig Machine'?

I have had one for nearly 20 years now and I have never seen another in the flesh and the only info or pics I have seen are in 'Rhythm Magazine' in the Vintage Vault section in the November 1994 edition.

I am interested in any info I can find on it.

Thanks

Matt

It's like sci-fi. I like it, but more as art. If that makes any sense. And I have never seen this before this post.

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

Frying pan and Space Ship are good descriptions. My kit is in the orange colour. (Pic attached)

They were sold for a couple of years starting in 1984 (vintage for the electronic kits). And they came supplied in the hand made flight case (seen in my pic) with sections for all the equipment. It had its own brain/control unit/mixer that everything plugs in to for easy set up.

From the details in the article in the Rhythm magazine it said it had a good sound for its time and I would agree. Nothing by today's standards but you could easily tell the difference between all the drum and cymbal sounds.

I love it but am really stuck what to do with it as I have had it a long time but now with another baby in the way may have to sell it which breaks my heart as it is so rare and unusual.

Hi,

I own the blue kit on display in the second post, complete with the case and all pads. Best looking drum synthesizer kit ever. :)

A friend has a green set and he used to own a black before.

But the orange looked amazing too. Feel free to drop me a line if you're interested in selling.
