Hapless Holidays... a Rogers project.

Dang... I swore I would not buy more project drums until I got all my other projects done. But... I couldn’t walk away from these Rogers Holiday 20 12 16 “Silver Sparkle” drums.

Shells are great, wrap is tight, all drums are Cleveland tags, solid gray and in 36xxx range.

20 12 16 seems odd but the finishes match and the tag numbers are very close.

Don’t know when I’ll start this one but it will be a good project.

I’m suddenly thirsty for Gingerale. :)

Its perfectly fine to buy drums when you have unfinished projects, I do it all the time. Those will be really nice, I like the size's.

Thank you!

20-12-16 in what appears to be Swingtime configuration. Sizes aren't odd at all, since this is the catalog Swingtime sizes in the 64 catalog that is price listed. Serials put you at the beginning of the Beavertail era, 1963, the missing lugs .... probably broken by some hamfisted disassembler. Heavy Beavertails would be suitable for replacement. Or go with some of the New ones.

Hey Jim

Nice Kit !

No worries on the buy more with a pile still to go after. I have been piling them up and the plan is to spend my days once I retire fixing them up. I still go after about 1 snare every 2-3 weeks, but at this rate, I will have to live to a very old age to get all of them done . . . No complaints here !

Michael

Unless like me @ 66 still working with no retirement in sight geez lol

April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies

Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
