I could not find an 18" x 16" example of a Premier floor tom without it either being an APK or XPK and it costing over $250!!!! APK/XPK's are simply NOT WORTH THAT AMOUNT OF MONEY, even if they are 18" floor toms!!!! Did the buyers simply get auction fever? I see PLENTY of 16" floor toms on ebay, but hardly EVER an 18" unless it's going for STUPID money...

While I would pay that amount for an 18" floor tom IF it were a Mahogany w/beech re-rings in GREAT condition with no chrome acne and all of the hardware? Of course! However, this option has simply been absent...

Enter Twin Cities Drum Shells. Pat was part of a custom drum company (can't remember the name at the moment) and he's building custom shells (square shells up to 22") and is able to do things like re-rings in beech!!!! He listens well, and wants to get things right.

Pat has been working with me through the entire time. He's a good Northern fellow, and is pretty good about answering his phone (for the most part).

I am ROOTING for this drum to be GREAT. I also want to promote this cat IF this drum is great, especially if you're too impatient to wait around for a dream drum that may or may not exist!!!!
