Cool Kev!
Love the single flange rims and clips,
nice looking drum.
Thanks brothers !!
It has a Very different sound than what I am accustomed to.
I have her cranked pretty high, and still no ring like I like.
Kinda subdued, but nice.
Maybe a thinner batter.... ?
I'm running my usual coated Ambassador.
Man that's a sweetie!!!

Well...the one I have has cast hoops and I'm using a Vintage A on the batter side. Also I'm using a mint NOS set of responso snares that I found on ebay for it....I think the wires will make a big difference with these dixieland drums. It's not as ringy as my Ludwig snares, but it does have a nice tone to it. And yes, I have mine cranked waaaay up too.
Say Kevin....just an observation....I think the snare butt on yours is mounted upside-down.....I could be wrong and maybe MINE is upside-down! :p
$%^&*(!!!....... looks upside down to me too !!
I miss-typed Gretsch in the title too.....#$%^&*&^%$#!!!!
