Grommets - slingerland 3-ply shells

Loading...

Would anybody happen to know the size of the factory-issued grommets used on Slingerland's 3-ply shells from the late '60s - early '70s? Also, if you happen to have a source where I could purchase some replacements, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks in advance for your time and your help!

These grommets are for Ludwig drums. Slingerland grommets are thicker aluminum and will need a proper flaring tool.

Mark: I believe the ones on Precision Drum's site are what I need, which are 7/16" diameter. However, I'm not sure whether I need them in 3/8" length or 1/2" length. Any suggestion? Thanks!

You'll need the 3/8" length for 3-ply shells.

Sorry about that, I’m a Ludwig guy but I think this seller has grommets for other manufacturers drums although, I did not see on for Slingerland.

I would get them from Chicago drum company. Jim's dad was the man who created the 5 ply slingerland shells.

Your drummers not much good is he!? What you need is someone that's as good as me. ! John Henry Bonham !!
