I am wondering if any members have a cheap alternative (even made one yourself?) to the overpriced Gretsch ratchet keys (sometimes available) online? I've been getting along moving my tom mount with a standard wrench, but since it is so long, I alway sneed to rotate to turn the nut. This smaller key makes adjusting the rail mount very convenient. Any handy guys this might be easy to replicate--or find?

I've got one of those ratchet keys, which works quite well, but - on the tom mounts themselves - I've removed the nuts and replaced them with the large size (1970s Atlas) cymbal stand wing nuts. This saves a lot of fumbling.

It's a key that allows you to easily adjust the Walburg Augue rail mount. I don't want to swap out the rail spade.

I use an actual ratchet wrench...which actually ratchets, for this. 7/16ths. Much better than using one of those old style wrenches.

Maxwell's repros are a different size than the original. Original is 7/16" and the Maxwell is 1/2". I know. I bought one for an old Gretsch RB set and it was too big. I now use a small socket wrench. Much better.
