Gary,

That is awesome! The gold looks great, and you are right to leave it as it is! I think that from the pictures at least the gold on that drum is really strong. Great job and a grrrreat drum!

It probably is a Gretsch, with a bad paint job. I can see a few runs in the finish. A DIY finish. Offer $75, it's going to take $150 just to get it stripped and re-wrapped. Hope the inside doesn't look like the outside.

This is expert advice from a total and complete Dullard!!!. so this moron would take one of the rarest gretsch finishes and strip the paint then re-wrap it!!!. the museum you work for do you clean the toilets or take out the garbage seem that is what you qualify for??? leave vintage drums to us experts which you certainly are not!

Your drummers not much good is he!? What you need is someone that's as good as me. ! John Henry Bonham !!

Yes - I did see this one but it's not what I'd want. I'm not saying they're not great drums - they are very nice indeed. I have a plan....a dream...and I will do my best to make it happen on my limited funds.

Stay tuned......the Cadi Green drum hunt is on............what have I gotten into here......

Yep, that's it! It's cool for sure. But the drums I drool over everytime I go in there are the copper over wood Slingerlands spotted in some of the photos. He has just about every size drum in that finish. Alas, none are for sale. The copper Slingys are his personal kit and obsession. I don't blame him. I wouldn't sell them either. Great shop. Great guy. Great that I live 10 minutes away from there. Just wish I had more money. I'd be his biggest customer.
