I may want to sell the drum at some point but for now I'm using it with my late 50's Gold Sparkle Gretsch kit.

8x12 Stop Sign badge #1 - S/N putting it at late 69.

Sounds right because in the summer of 1969 I bought a new Round Badged Gretsch kit.

I don't know the history of the drum. I bought it on eBay a few years ago and it came to me with the Silver Glitter wrap cut down too far - pretty much ruining it.....didn't matter what heads I put on it I had to crank it down way too high to hide the outer ply. A real shame.

Ray Ayotte put a custom made...Red Walnut Satin Sheen (RWSS)...finish on the drum.

What would the value of this drum be right now?

I have my own thoughts but would like to hear from you.
