Hello, I have a gretsch round badge snare drum that has a fairly deep snare bed that is smooth, the rest of the edge is rough, anybody know if this is a stock way gretsch did there edges? thanks

Yes, Gretsch did them that way... however I usually smooth them with a very light sand paper since they are not perfect.
