Gretsch RB, what heads are you using?

Loading...

I've been using Aquarian American Vintage heads on my Gretsch Round Badge toms for years. They fit the slightly larger shells perfectly but more importantly, they sound and feel amazing and are very warm. Good luck!

Yes. I used these heads on mine as well, as modern-sized heads didn't fit.

Man, it's a squeeze getting the Aquarian Amer Vintage inside the die cast hoop! Goes on the (floor tom) shell just right but it's a tight fit on the hoop.

That's Good to know (sorry) Guess they'd be ok on a Bass Drum (with the wood hoops..

Ah yes, the bass drum, the one drum I'm not putting any of these heads on! I already have a Super Kick II on the batter and I'm trying a couple different reso heads to find something that fits the drum and something that fits the kit.

Floor tom done!

Mostly vintage hardware on it with a few repro pieces here and there. I'm digging the Aquarians so far, nice tone to them. When I finished tuning ti up I just had to set up a little kit to take it for a spin!
