Anyone have a suggestion for finding tension rods of 3 1/4" overall (2 3/4" from under collar)?
Also, what were correct sizes for a 12x8 (5 lug) tom?

Not sure where to get vintage Gretsch rods; I keep checking ebay. My 70's small tom rods are 1 5/8" from the collar. ( I could use a few of those, myself.) There are two variations of rods that I have and I'd love to know the story on them. One rod has a square shoulder and the other has a little more rounded and thinner shoulder. Maybe they're not Gretsch, but they are all the same on my 13" tom.

PS - I know the one drum is way over due for a cleaning.

i should have checked my 13x9 gretsch tom from another kit, they seem to be the same size (1 5/8").
