Is that an actual part that came with the Micro-sensitive? I don't remember that part for some reason. Maybe that was a jimmy-rigged piece to fix the issue that most micros suffer from.

They came with this part(obviously some have been lost) Most of the photos on the 2nd link just show the guts of the MS throw so no chrome tube. Trust me I have studied this strainer for years now LoL!

Just to add I don't expect anyone to take their MS to bits .Just a very,very good estimate would be useful. I already have some suitable tube.

I think that maybe that was a jerry-rigged fix for this. So many of these microsensitives had a weak collar that they broke off and screwed up the throw off mechanism. There is a great video here on fixing that without needing the little tube. I too have dealt with this strainer for years. If it was like that from the factory, maybe they didn't all come with it...but I don't think that it's even a good way to fix it. Try the video.
