Gretsch drums 1940's

24" bass drum 1949/13 and 16" toms 1947 and 6.5x14 Super Structure snare drum 1948.

These are 'orphaned' drums I rescued on eBay. Beautifully hand stained and no extra holes.

Most of the hardware is original to the drums. The hardware I replaced is all era-correct. The bass drum was missing the 8 resonant t-rods. I couldn't find the T-Rods of the proper length (they're hard to come by) so I custom made them using T-Rods I bought on eBay that were from a 1940's snare drum (single tension rods). I cut them down and threaded them to fit the lugs.

Gretsch sent me a shell/swatch of there Burnt Orange finish and I used that to have a stain made to match it. I left the stain in a Satin finish. The maple outer ply is beautifully figured.

I may have some other hardware to throw into the deal in addition to the lugs n lug parts you see in the last photo.
