I am restoring a 1968 set of Gretsch drums. I only need a 20" Bass hoop, 8 butterfly clamps with tension rods. Most importantly though is that it's a circle logo kit and the emblem is missing on the Bass drum. Gretsch won't sell them. Does anyone know where I can get one? To me this kit will never be complete without it. Thanks, Louis.

Ebay - there's great sport these days in stripping the logos (and just about any other thing) and selling them for inflated prices on ebay. Not up on Gretsch prices but on some other brands I've seen it get very crazed.

should cost $50 to $75. There was a time when Explorers Percussion sold them. You could give them a call.

I agree with you about the ripping off to up the price. I believe that's why It's so difficult to obtain the logo I need. The owner of a local Gretsch dealer here said he gets them in occasionally so I am bringing in my 12" tom to show him that they are actually circle logo. I will also try the place that was suggested.
