i picked this drum up at a garage sale and was wondering if anybody new something about it.the badge is 20's to 60,s era and it is 14'' by about 26'' and seems to be a tom on one side and a snare on the other, the snare is inside and pushes up like a dampener.it is a champagne or copper sparkle.it has two attachments on the snare side for something .around the center is a chrome ring with fancy rivets.it has wood inside at the middle seperating the two sides.it also has three mounts on the tom side i presume for legs.i'm thinking this may be a stand up kit?
gretch drum
Sounds like you have a Gretsch Cocktail drum. They would have a pedal attached to the lower "drum" and you would play the bass drum side with a pedal. The top part should have some snares that attach to the head from underneath. Here's a picture of one from eBay that's decked out with some extras:

Champagne sparkle, is a good color. You've got a fairly rare and valuable Gretsch Cocktail drum depending on the condition. Missing the legs, eh?
Here's a site with a few of 'em.. Maybe yours looks like one of these:
pounder thanks so much i could not remember what they called these but that's what i was thinking it was.if you or anybody knows where i can get legs, pedal and other things for this please let me know
