Greetings from a new member - a "carlton" question

Hello topic experts,

I just signed in to the forum. I live in the netherlands and am desperately looking for an answer to my burning question.

I bought a very lovely good sounding vintage snare-drum.

A Carlton (Dallas-London) metal 5"x14" with die-cast hoops and a beautiful throw of snares mechanism. It sounds great but it must have been aged maybe over 35 years.

Is there anybody who can tell me essentials about my snare-drum ?

I don't know anything about British drums, but you might want to post your question in the "non-U.S. vintage drums" forum on this site... I think you'll find yourself in warm and knowledgeable company there.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page, at the left near the bottom, where you'll see the "forum jump" box -- open that, find the "non-U.S. vintage drums" thread, and click on that.
