We were talking about the hi hats on the song "Shaft",and that got me to thinking of some great sounding hats...............
I used to have a Joe Jackson Live LP in the late 80's that had an amazing sounding pair of hats..........
I'll have to ask Dave Houghton on Facebook what those were.......
Also,Stewart Copeland's hats used to kill me.............

Always loved Jeff Porcaro's hats, last year I got a set of 13" Dark-Crisp Paiste Sigs & it was the sound I remembered. I've also got a set of the New Signature 14" hats & although I dearly love the 13's the New Sigs are by far the best hats I've ever played.

it takes a lot to make me happy when it comes to hi hat cymbals , on one of finds i came a into a set of meinl raker hh at first i did not know what to expect now i love them to death , i love garage sales
