Gotta be pretty quick these days!

I was on the phone with the sales clerk first thing when this popped up and it had already been purchased online. Hope someone on VDF got it. Smoking deal and fun restoration as long as all the SS parts are in tact.

great deal. At least you won't have the tedious paint removal job. Just trying to make you feel better:)

exactly. most likely painted due to the usual pitting/blistering of the chrome.

Very true on the paint removal. I am still cursing my way through a nasty luddy floor tom black paint removal project. But a 6.5 Keystone SS for 99 bucks? I would gladly get out the goof again for that job.

Apparently some young 'un at GC knew little of this drum's value.

Hope someone on the forum got it-what a super sweet deal even with the resto work involved.

Sad part is, GC probably only gave $20 on it as trade-in.

Well I may or may not have just got it!

I did a search again today and it was still up at GC online so I went through the motions and it let me make the purchase so we will see what happens. Either the original buyer balked (maybe thought it was a Supra?) or I will get a call tomorrow saying sorry our online system screwed up and this item has already been purchased. Hopefully it just shows up at my local GC in a few days and it's not pitted out and all the SS parts are there! I shall keep the VDF community posted!

Double dang! If I had thought for a second it might still be there I would have run down there the other night and snagged it.

Well at least the BB muffler means it's probably not a brass shell.

Let us know how it works out.
